The Hall Rental, Rink and Volleyball Coordinators are Volunteers who live in the community and freely give their time, efforts and skills.
When making your requests for information or to rent a facility, please allow our Volunteers a few days to get back to you.

Abusive or aggressive behaviour as well as persistent or unreasonable demands are unacceptable.

The Lendrum Community League offers a total of two sheets of ice:

  • a boarded ice rink complete with hockey nets and lighting
  • a skating oval overlooking the dry pond.

Both sheets of ice are among the best quality found in the City.

You must have valid Community League Skate Tags to use our ice rink and skating oval.
They are available when you purchase a Lendrum Community League Membership.

There are a number of things that are a bit different this year. Please make note of the new restrictions. Anyone who is not abiding by the restrictions will be asked to leave the rink.

  1. To avoid congestion, we have created a sign-up sheet for ice rink time. Please sign up for a time slot (one per day!) and avoid disappointment.
  2. At the moment, we can only have ten people on the rink at a time. There is some discussion about this number being increased given you must skate with your cohort and rink sizes vary significantly. If we are advised that we can increase numbers on the rink, we will let you know and adjust the number of sign up slots accordingly
  3. The rink shack will not be open. We will be putting additional benches outdoors to allow for spacing while tying up skates.
  4. Make sure you have your skate tags. We will be checking more frequently to ensure users are community league members or members of neighbouring community leagues. If you signed up for a membership online, you will have to contact Joanne at memberships@lendrum.org to figure out a way to get your tags.
  5. Sticks and pucks are allowed but no shinny or hockey is allowed. As such we will be starting the season with the nets locked up.
  6. You must stay 2 metres away from people not in your household cohort while on the rink and off.
  7. If you are using the rink and have not signed up please give priority to those that have signed up.
  8. If you see people not following the guidelines, you can:
    1. Remind them that not following orders is against the law and puts people at risk.
    2. Call 3-1-1.
    3. Submit a complaint to AHS public health inspectors online or call 1-833-415-9179.
  9. Please note if you violate a public health order, you may be subject to a $1,000 fine. Additionally, you can be prosecuted for up to $100,000 for a first offense.

Currently, the sign up is only for the main rink but we will add sign up slots for the oval once it opens. Please remember that we are all volunteers and have spent a lot of time trying to figure out ways to keep our community safe but active. Other leagues have chosen not to open their rinks. We hope we can keep ours open for the duration of the winter, but it will depend on the cooperation of users! You can email icerink@lendrum.org if you have other questions. Thanks for your understanding and patience. Stay safe out there.
